new battle mode is needed

the current battle mode is flawed because on the new updates on the official servers the new battle mode is used with the space bar. so you would hit the space bar then type the line you wanted to type. this new type of battle mode is more effective because you would not lose the time with having to double tap enter thus giving you more time to do what you needed to do.

this new type of battle mode is more effective and it would help the server in my opinion. please comment on this if you would like a newer type of battle mode. :biggrin:

If you use /bm you lose 2 rows of your keyboard to hotkeys. So that you can use all 3 of your hotkey bars, instead of just one. Since letters now become hotkeys you can't type normally. Double tapping enter would temporarily set your letters to letters, and allow you to type. He's saying that the new mode is pressing space bar once, instead of enter twice.

Actually you lose Q -> O, A -> L, and Z -> . which is three rows.

I only need to press Enter OR Spacebar once for me to be able to type, then pressing Enter again enters the message and gets you back to being able to use your hotkeys.

I might find an edit to remove the "DDoouubbllee" typing that occurs from time to time.

Yeah you don't double tap enter. Lol. Pressing enter once gets you out of battle mode. Pressing enter another time gets you back in.

So I was confused as to why he was double tapping enter to type...since that wouldn't be possible. Lol. I use battlemode on all my characters. The only "new battle mode" system is with the new interface update where it gives you 4 rows, perma battle mode, and the 1st row is the F1-F9 and the 4rd row is the Z row on the keyboard.

I think I found how to change the battle mode options.

Options are:

- Double letters being removed, can type normally again. (Tested & fixed)

- Exit battle mode only with space bar.

I assume both options are wanted?

But exiting ONLY with space bar is not. We're all used to pressing enter, so space bar would be awkward.

Leaving the space bar out then, the double typing is fixed in my current client, it'll be released to the public (soon™).

all i am saying is that when i am buying or selling thing or anything that has to do with tapping enter realy you have to hit enter again in order to activate bm again. so if it was changed to space bar that would be fixed all together.

If yu want to type like u normally do, then just shut bm off -.-, it's really not that hard to type /bm ...

well im just saying that the current bm is a little bit flawed with some minor fixes it would be great. im not saying that i have too much of a problem with the current one its just that on the new patches for the officials the bm they use is that when you want to type you hit space bar so its "space" (message) "enter" to reactivate bm. so that its not a problem if you accedently hit enter or space.

I was not aware you had to press "enter" to exit battlemode and type... I have always pressed "space" before typing and then "enter" to say what I just typed and to re-enter battlemode.

I see nothing wrong with the current /bm besides the occasional DDoouubbllee thing that occurs.
