Marpy Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 I'm trying to decide on what cards to use on my PvP sniper's armor. I'm thinking either put a ghostring card in the armor, and then two random elemental resists in my garment.. or angeling in my armor, and dual-raydric in my garment. For PvP.. what elements are seen most frequently? What's the best defensive card combonation, and why?

For PvP.. what elements are seen most frequently? What's the best defensive card combonation, and why? I'm pretty new, so I don't know too much, but I'd go with Ghostring for armor. You won't be surviving any Asura's with it and just Raydrics, but Creator's can spam AD, and Paladin's have Martyr's Reckoning, so it seems like the best choice. For cloak..I'm not sure how to get them, but try to get Skoll's for them. It lowers your Vit Defense by a lot, so Thanatos/Ice Pick won't do ridiculous damage to you. If you can't, I guess you should just go with Raydrics.
Exhibition Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 If you're looking for elements to resist, I'd suggest using water resists, as players commonly use the 'water' property in there weapon because of how easy Box of Storm is too acquire. Ghostring Card is ideal when fighting creators, but not so much when fighting Champions, as not having a shield really leaves you vulnerable, so I'd suggest 2 Orc Lord cards in order to either kill them with there own Asura, or have them have to rely on something else to attack with. Skolls are ideal for Ice Pick/Thanatos users, other wise raydrics will do. There is a small possibility that you'll survive Asura Strike using Ghostring+Tao in armor and 2 Devilings in your garment, but you need relatively high HP to do so. Evil Druid is another good armor card, as it stops poison/shadow damage (e.i Enchant Poison, Cursed Water), and prevents you from being affected by Stone / Freeze properties. Angeling Card is also useful as it reduces damage taken from Fire/Water/Wind/Earth properties negates all Holy-Element attacks (Holy Light, people endowed by Asperio).
Dart Tip Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 You need various armors to succeed in PvP. GR+RSX GR+Tao OL+OL RSX+Angeling (against holy light) Tao+Tao Tao+RSX All those combination are successful to PvP. If you can only carry 3 sets of armor, I suggest GR+Tao OL+OL Tao+Tao (must remain FCP'd at all times) As for Garment I usually depend on Skoll + Skoll Raydric + Raydric Deviling + Deviling (you've gotta practice equipment switching correctly to pull these off) There is no actual "best defensive combination" for the simple fact that not every class is the same to battle against. For example, you would most likely need Tao + Tao against another Sniper while if you're going to fight a Creator you'd be better off with GR + Tao (if you're FCP'd) Against magic based Bolt casting classes, you'd most likely want to wear Frus + Frus in a +10 Armor and 2x Cat O' Ninetails on your Footgear.
