Ideas that could make fRO a whole lot better

I didn't add my ideas to the topic below me because I want my ideas to be seen in front page.

1. Make all monsters in Forsaken Dungeon drop Yggdrasil Berry(item#607) -> boost economy

2. Not really sure on this one~Event NPC should be cheaper, and make 1 event really worth 2 donation -> boost economy

3. An increase in MvP card drop would be nice like 15% or 20%, 15% is better since the prices would most likely stay the same -> more fun for fRO players.

4. A new event where there are rooms w/o PvP enabled with a random MvP that drops card 100%

This is all for now i know it will be very difficult to do this but they are ideas and I hope Genesis reads this.

I think all monsters in F.Dun drops Ygg berries.

No. Even without pvp enabled, Well Geared players could just go full mvp build and get the card. So much for helping the rich getting richer? idk

1. not all mobs drop yggs but that doesn't stop ppl from farming 100 every 5 minutes

2. the economy is in the players hands .. do you mean the NPC should sell 2 donation coupons

for 1 event coupon instead of a straight trade?

3. 10% is good, it's worked for years now .. no need to change it

4. you'll need to be a lot more specific

1. Making all monsters drop Berries will actually do the exact opposite. Right now certain players earn their money through harvesting Berries and selling them in the market. If all monsters dropped Berries then everyone would have them and no one would really buy them. As supply increases demand decreases, this means there is no buying and selling of Berries. Therefore bad for the economy.

2. This would have a really big effect on the economy (Probably bad though as I will explain), probably just a switch of main currencies from donation coupon to event coupon. However, this would effect people's probability of donating negatively. Because some player donate for certain things/coupons and sell them ingame, they would be a lot less likely to do so if the donation coupon's value depreciated compared to the event coupon.

3. This will 1. Give many players cards and increase PVP flow, but 2. Decrease the value of said cards in the player market. I think people are comfortable with the way it is now.

4. I like the idea of MVP events. I feel they should be pvp enabled though, and not 100% drop rate. Maybe a LMS with mass amounts of MVPs with no drops. The last man standing gets a card of his choice (not Thanatos).

I like your idea on last one, but maybe it should be a party event ?eh?

That sounds like it could work too. But then the whole party would get a card each.... That may be a bit too much. Depends on the GM's discretion I suppose.

1. As was already stated this would in fact harm the economy more than help. Reason being: Market would be flooded with ygg tickets thus lowering their price. (500 yggs for 1 dqpon O.o) Supply (up) Demand (down).

2. Someone stated this would harm the economy... which is invalid. They are already traded at 1 event: 2 donations (usually) on teh streets. The economy would not switch over to event coupons (srsly wtf.) I think overall this suggestion is excellent.

3. Not needed (Although I sometimes wonder if 10% is really 10% *sad face.*)

1. I'm pretty sure all monsters drop yggs, just not at a high percentage.

2. If NPC went 1;2. That'd kill economy. We sell events for that much and they're only obtainable through events.

3. I'm pretty sure most people don't want the card economy the same. I remember TG's use to go for 20 now they go for 50. We want them to go down, not the same or go up.

4. LOL. That's just asking for an MvP card. Which is a pretty useless event.

I fail to understand why this would kill the economy. Incase you haven't noticed event coupons don't exactly "Move." Meaning they really are not bought and sold at a high rate. If nothing else, changing the NPC to 1:2 adds more dqpons into the market, allowing more people to buy more things. This charges the economy up by creating more "movement." More trades going on. And that is good.

But hey, I'm in premed, not business school.

Well not to sound like an ass, but I am business school (double major actually) and this would hurt the economy.

It would also decrease the probability of people donating as the donation coupon would further depreciate in value compared to the event coupon. They may be sold "on the streets" as 2:1 which already depreciates the donation coupon but if the npc is changed that would solidify the depreciation.

~Xtopheri like ur explanation it really seems to decrease the d coupon standard but then ppl would do more events therefore meaning more GM recruits and more event give away and therefore more ppl get events and ppl well trade officially or "on street"

Double majoring in what, may I ask? (Mine's Spanish and Chemical Engineering.. Just in case, you know, I need to talk to my mexican engineer friends lol)

On topic, if the NPC was changed to 1:2 wouldn't more people just change their recently won event coupons into donation coupons? Thus establishing dqpons as an even more dominant force on the market.

Event coupons would not become the "choice" currency because, there just are not enough on the market. I mean, there're what 10 events (this is a completely random guess) held each day 5-7 coupons being handed out (minus GvG, which the winning guild usually splits the 100 eqpons anyways). So 70ish eqpons entering the market daily. Not nearly enough... Now I have no idea how quickly the dqpons are coming into the market, but they surely are not leaving the market. Not many people buy from the Forsaken King Room. Events on the other hand leave the market as their only purpose is for the event reward npc, not as currency.

I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, I had to go wash my neighbor's dog that I am taking care of, and I lost my train of thought. I retract my statement, the event NPC should not be changed to 1:2 simply on the basis that it serves no purpose whatsoever. I still maintain that it would not effect the overall economy however.

1. At a the current rate, you can harvest 3000 yggdrasil berries in an hour.

2. This depends on the players.

3. Current drop rate is good. Gives a balance between being challenged and being bored in MVPing.

4. The way I see it, you want to get an event which we will just give the winner a free MVP card.
