FlareTheHedgehog Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 hey, my friend just recently bought a Mac laptop and he wants to know if Ragnarok is Compatable, he has an Emulator to play Oblivion and Left 4 Dead but it seems to have some problems but that isn't what i'm asking is Ragnarok compatable with Mac Laptops?
Xtopher Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 He'll need a Windows emulator I think. I suggest your friend partitions his hard drive and installs Windows XP as well for gaming. That is; if there's enough space in that tiny Mac HD :rolleyes_anim: Recommened Requirements OS Windows 98se/me/2000/XP CPU Pentium - 700 MHz or higher (Athlon CPU, Celeron) RAM 256 MB or higher VGA , Video Card DirectX compatible video card with 32MB video memory, Transform & Lighting, DirectX 8.0 or higher SOUND Sound Card DirectX compatible sound card / 3D Surround Sound Support Other Other 2.2GB or higher Hard Drive space
FlareTheHedgehog Posted July 28, 2009 Author Report Posted July 28, 2009 he has a Window's Emulator but it broke and he hasn't had time to fix it yet since he's been working all the time. is it possible to change a Mac laptop to a Microsoft Laptop just by a Installation Disk? if so then that'd be great, he will be able to play all his games at the sacrifice of not very good Designing Programs which he AND me will be using.

Well how large is his hard drive? If he has enough space he can install Windows XP and keep his MacOS too. It's called partitioning, you use two operating systems on one computer. If he doesn't like the MacOS he can just reformat with Windows. However, you will need the software to install Windows XP for either of these options. Here are some links that may be helpful: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61301 http://kb.iu.edu/data/ajxz.html http://www.pcworld.com/article/73826/stepb...hard_drive.html I can not guide you through it because I personally have never done it, my roommate partitioned his Macbook Pro a lot, he had MacOS, Vista, XP, and Linux. I'm confident that if you and your friend read up on it you should be able to do it as well. I suggest your friend uses XP if he does do a partition to add Windows. Vista is resource heavy and takes up a lot more room in the hard drive. If you have other questions then just post here, I'll try and help the best I can.
