Maybe I could still continue it and add some ~ungirly~ things to it. And make it more sophisticated. Until I decide whether to or not, I won't be continuing. ):

Ethereal Posted July 13, 2009 Author Report Posted July 13, 2009 Since you guys are discussing that the website needs to have more balance between both genders and make it look more professional, do you guys have any ideas that may help balance out? I mean like I know I'm the designer of this, but I need your input, ideas and suggestions. I'm not a magician who can wave a wand and then somehow make the whole website balanced and professional. So any ideas / suggestions would be appreciated. -------- On the other hand, I've decided to make 2 buttons; 1 for WoE Times and Locations, and the 2nd would be for Ventrilo and how to connect to it. Kind of like a link to a guide on how to use Vent. Also, I've been talking to Leni & Genesis about this idea. Well Gen originally wanted me to do it and I just remembered. We were planning to do like a login-thing through the web to the forums. So basically, you can enter your Forum Username & Password on the website and log in through the forums from there. Example : http://iro.ragnarokonline.com/ It's under the banner, although I don't think it leads to the forums. We were planning to do something similar to that.

Also, I was planning to keep this : But, changed of course. (Since I don't have the same brush anymore) ( TY LENI FOR SUGGESTING ) --- Edit : Personally, I think Char has some very good points. But all of these points make me not want to work on the web, and just re-do the whole entire darn thing. Idk, I'm just confused again. I had so many ideas that I wanted to put in... but i think I realized my ideas aren't really meant for the server.

D= I though the design itself looked fantastic, the header, textures, the fonts you chose to use, and the way you used them, it's all really pretty. My problem with the Notebook layout you had planned is basically that the images and navigation below it takes up too much of the screen, for me at least. Having to scroll down that much to actually get to the content is rather annoying. :\ I guess nobody can be blamed for that except whoever created wide screens though. So my main issue was everything was just too big. It also reminds me a lot of two other well-known private servers' website layouts. =x But so does the current website's layout. Just the huge fonts for nagivation and all, heh. So if you're remaking the layout entirely, maybe keep that in mind, to try make stuff a little smaller? =D You don't have to of course, not like I can stop you and it isn't like one person's opinion matters, but it's just a suggestion. I kind of go against trends in graphics on the Internet and stuffs, so yeahhh, you might not agree with me at all. You can also use images on the sides of a layout, though...that might be too complicated to bother with, wouldn't know. :' ( I still think the theme was really cute... I'm sorry I'm not very good with themes and color suggestions or anything. :' [ All I got is for colors go for the neutral ones. Choose a color like you normally would be then go over to the more neutral part of it, I think your colors were fine though as they were =x

(:And I made it long so that it's stretchable, because we're going to be putting announcements on the main page, etc. And also, I liked what I was working on a lot. I would continue what I was doing as well... even though it was really cute, it didn't really match the theme of Forsaken.

Well, you could start small first instead of working on a more finished design. Make several smaller samples with the basic elements (a header, a button, a side link) just to show what you want it to look like, at least color and layoutwise. If a design is chosen from the samples you can work from there at what to add further. If you are going for a more neutral look, do away with the pastel color scheme and try some earth tones (greys, browns, grey-greens). And if the server is interested, I could contribute some original character art for the header, (with the customs and all that).
