Shayne Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 clown guide MINI rich and donor king set head::: 3 kiel armor:: gr + tao| puppet + tao| tao + tao cape:: skol x2|skol + sinx|2 anti poison card(for non thana or ice pick user) or put HR if you have a small quantity of berry shoes:: x2 fbh accessory:: dex belt x2 weapon:: fguitar -tgx2 skel inca/ get a duplicate but the other one has thana for high vit shield: usakoring and gr, get 2, 1 king and other can be any shield, like valkyrie just go spam av, tarot in the mid if hes using shield, or aim for a small coma, then tarot again, cloak away from his range and do over btw this is just an over view, for now, just basic stuff, for rich people who are experience and want to try the class, or donators who donated a lot of money and want to try out this class there do you like it, looks simple enough and not for newbie, well i still have the old one, and once i'm done minimizing the size and last but not the list im going to put important stuff only, so this will do for now

Zero Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Constructive Criticism Unorganized, could use better grammar, Forsaken King's Cloak*, Too many typos, missed various card combination for equipments (crucial ones), difficult to read and not informative enough. Has mediocre information on stuff any player can discover along their play time in Forsaken RO, mediocre tactics against classes that will most likely get you killed, long and useless conclusion, overused "lawl" and "XD", idolized a player and mentioned 'smoking' which if I'm not mistaken players have been warned about before in the forums. I don't think it's "pin worthy" Improved Crunch Toast is obtainable via. Event NPC.

I believe you may be new to the internet, but there's a neat button on your keyboard that enables you to produce a period. They enable you to separate sentences from one another. I know you may be used to chain-talking when afk (I do it too), but this here is a forum with written text; Therefore punctuation helps a lot to simplify your posts into a format readable by humans. Take this advice as friendly, constructive criticism. If you want to get your points across, it helps a lot to make sure people can actually read what you say. I know you said it's "the way [you] speak of it", but it honestly doesn't consume that much time and/or brain power to write a properly structured text. You'll find people take you a lot more seriously.

Sorry in advance if my double posting disturbed anybody.) Here's my advice on clown, being a mediocre clown player myself: - For armor, switch between Tao/Puppet, GR/Tao and OL/OL in special situations. If you want, carry an extra GR/RSX armor, although it's generally more worth it to just get FCP, because you practically need tao for the HP either way. I usually default Tao/Puppet, as I don't have enough HP to survive a full asura without devs either way, which leads me to: - For cloak, I personally switch between Skoll/Assassin Cross and Devi/Devi. Hollowring isn't really needed at all unless you're *really* cheap or an avid PvP room player that hates relogging to get more yggs. - For arrows, I default shadow, occasionally switching to ghost (immaterial) if I know I can. If I'm facing somebody that's stone-able, I use fire arrows (naturally). In the rare case that somebody would have no fset (full resist build perhaps), I naturally use frost joker + wind arrows. Also, be sure to use Arrow of Counter Evil instead of Holy Arrow. - I also recommend carrying around ~10 elemental verters, if only for fun. Sometimes, especially when using thana, I can hit insane amounts of damage simply with melee hits, but you need a verter for that. Prime examples are paladins, however: - Strategy for paladins: If you encounter a paladin that has his auto guard / defending aura skills up, keep in mind you can use Tarot Card of Fate to instantly dispell them, even with GTB on (which he'll most probably need due to the coma card). As soon as you get that neat, white fucker of a card, AV him to oblivion. Note of course that this also works for devotion, however you have to dispell the *paladin* and then AV the devotee, preferably a sinx with no shield on or something.

Maybe you should study the class a bit more, work on your English and then learn a bit of e-society before making a guide. Regardless of the matter, I guess the forum members should thank you for your attempt, but I don't speak for all.
Shayne Posted June 30, 2009 Author Report Posted June 30, 2009 i see, well i don't need to study english since i'm good at it, well i'm at least better than you, since i'm pretty laid back i type words that way, oh i guess your eyes are just for decoration, and why would i type 100% pure perfect english anyway, i don't think i have to bother my self to write that way, if you don't like my guide then back off, i will write a guide on what i think will help, if you don't think it helped anyone then guess again, i don't like this to start to a flame war or something, but while it still last just go away, i don't need to study up the game, i've been playing the game since it was first released, just that i never played on a private server, so anyways while all things are still clear, oh and guys i'm not new to the internet, graduated bachelor on IT and a few other stuff about compluter, just that my keyboard is shit, currently going to replace it. and let me say the guide is still not complete but i appriciate guys post, i just didn't like zero's post, i guess he has 0 for brain, just to remind you guys i'm not making this guide so it would go for a pind, i wrote the guide for some newbies so i wrote out some newbie equipments until they slowly get the gist of it. oh and im using note pad to type this so the enter and the rest doesn't go well either. try using note pad and don't press enter until you reached the last space on the right and you will see what i mean thats why there is Basic, moderate, advance set up to seperate them, its up to the new comer if he wants to read all, but normally if he doesn't understand the avance set up then go do the basic one first until you gain the experience and knowledge to understand what goes next anyways first i don't like to see anymore of zero's post here, which i prefer it that way unless you give out post like guy there which can help, instead of just sitting there, ok now if you don't like my guide, go make one your self then, as in a full detail with every card combo, every skill, damage calculation and last all card and item discription, of course without using links or taken from other site or forum, and start from scratch, Note:: i don't actually play on private servers, except for some who are either, just a pvp server like ins*mn**c or low rate server like the official one.

Shayne Posted June 30, 2009 Author Report Posted June 30, 2009 i know and i just pointed it out to those who are really rich and want to waste money and make those useless stuff, anyways most of the standard one are written above, so if they are useless don't get them, its also written in the guide that you dont have to get them all, but anyways waste of time just help contribute ^__^ well just to let you know, when i was on another pserver made for PvP only i carry all types of armor elements and all counter to such elements, all card combo on weapon that are good, since i'm using a sinx and it follows the normal ragnarok rules, except all item is 4 slots besides shield since it remains 1 slot.. yeah for some people its a stupid server but anyways to say it is a game and a game for entertainment and by means i'm entertained by their set up so i went to play there it was fun on pvp, i go hide around, change element, breaker, change element, then if i see him use bos, then i go use anti water, since thana is quite useless there XO if you set up your armor go berry, change element, counter element, playing on battle mode and with lots of equipment still staying and rotting on your inventory, you learn to switch out this and that etc. oh btw i didn't made this guide for everyone, i made it only for 5 people who requested such a guide, which in fact i forgot to say, but since there were no clown guides for now, people could use it for a peek anyways i say thank you for the people who contributed something, and i will make it so that it will be neat and clean, liao, btw you guys don't complain if you can't understand it, since its made for 5 people i know who wants a guide written like this, oh and they are players from the official server from the time it was created until the time it was blown away, and until the time it was recreated

Madox, elemental cloaks are actually insanely useful. Not anybody has thana, and even if they do, for example tao/bathory + skoll/myst is *great* even against thana sinxs, assuming they're using poison (easy to see if they do). If you really wanna know what element they're using, force them to switch wep somehow. (eg. trying to edge a katar or shield sinx to make them put on GTB for at least a second) 3. Once again, Hollowrings aren't really needed in my opinion. 4. If you're rich enough to afford 10 cloaks, you probably won't be needing a guide for that.. 5. On notepad you can turn on word wrap and it behaves *exactly* like the Standard Editor on here. Surely an IT bachelor such as yourself ought to figure that out. 6. Is it just me or was the guide 10x as long yesterday? If so, you should add devi/devi to the cloak list again.

For starters, I was not arguing, I was giving you valid information and criticism in regards to your guide, you can't expect to write a guide for people that they can't benefit from. It's like telling someone to go experiment with every PvP-oriented card due to the poor detail and card combos. I asked you to learn better English not as an offense, but to be able to type an easy-to-comprehend sentence. Which I see you have failed to do so and instead attempted to flame me. Guides should be done with formality and great grammar in the language you choose to write it in, this case being English. Nonetheless, nobody here questioned your intelligence or knowledge pertaining to computer information. What I asked was for you to learn how the society in the internet works, this community being Forsaken Ragnarok Online.
