DarkMemoriez Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 as title say and stalker build ... Regards , DarkMemoriez
Cirrus Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 Depends on your preference. 1) Bow Stalkers have DEX as the main damage stat, therefore helping with their skill, Full Strip, to have a higher chance of stripping, also able to use arrows as elements, having the bonus of using Immaterial Arrows for more damage to ghost property (which most people use, not all.) Bow Stalkers, using a bow, therefore, cannot wear a shield in conjunction with their weapon. That's what the range for, then, and with Chase Walk, Tunnel Drive and Backslide, you'd be able to avoid most attacks on you. Watch for magic users. You get to carry way less berries though. 2) Sword-based Stalkers have STR as a main damage stat, enabling them to have a higher weight capacity therefore carrying more berries. Full Strip will have less success than a Bow Stalker's, and you have to use Converter scrolls / Cursed Water / BoS for elements. As a Stalker's HP isn't that high, you'll have problem tanking greater damages, without the range advantage. But you'll be able to use a Shield, which is very useful. You might need to slot a Phreeoni in your weapon or put DEX enough for 450~500 HIT, which could prove quite a problem when you want to get more damage out of STR, and HP out of VIT. General outline for a Bow Stalker stat build: DEX: 270~300, as this is your main damage stat. AGI: Enough for 195 aspd, most likely staying at 1 if full-geared. STR: 80~120 for carrying equipment, berries and supplies. VIT: The rest of your stats here. INT/LUK: 1 I don't really use/want to use/will ever use a Sword Stalker build, unless *cough* Elite 1h Swords come out. Feel free to experiment with the outline, as it is not set in stone.
its777 Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 cirrus is spot on but honestly you'll never want to use a dagger/sword stalker for "damage" you'll just suck incredibly, with that said you can use a dagger with effects like strip, coma,ws etc etc and switch between edge for a higher success of coma'ing... but if you want to be damage i suggest use the bow build and copy "bowling bash" and have the damage cards such as turtle gens, inca, thana etc etc that works good aswell but like cirrus said you wont be able to carry a shield, you'll be taking in alot of damage since bowling bash requires you to get up close. stalker is fun but competively in my opinion they cant compete with 1 vs 1, concidering fcp is abundant and gtb also which is sad because i play stalker on low rates and they own :(
Cirrus Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 You can only pretty much do ONE Back Stab if ever you can even get close to your enemy without him seeing you. Also its777 has a good point, which is why I did not include a general stat build for a Sword using Stalker.
Shinada Hsin Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 If you are serious about playing the stalker class Like I am. You should try the str build with a blade and a valk card in it or use fcp. Try using a ice pick as well.
SlingerzDeluxez Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Actually, sword/dagger stalkers can be pretty good. I have an okay build in mind but it requires a lot of patience and "dodging." If you can keep attacking them with a bow that has 2 WS and 2 SK in it and drain the time they have in FCP and break their armor (if no cornutus or RSX) freeze them, then use full strip, then bowling bash them. I dunno if I helped any and I am sorry if this is an old thread haha.
