Here a series of one shots, will update when I feel like it :3 You might recognize some people in here :3 All my works are fictional XD don't accommodate them to whats happening to me :3 Chapter 1 - Diary. They were plenty of things in life that interested Reika, caught her attention, etherealed her to the utter most in the world she lived in. But somehow even the ghost rider of Neiflheim, known as the Dark Lord could grab her attention as much as what she saw on her room mates bed could. Perched every so neatly on top of her neutral colored duvets was non other then a little pink book. But not just any little pink book. The Gothic bold words on the front of it was the thing that had utterly caught her attention, a normally ignorant person who uses her room only for the very few minutes of her day, to either change, or grab some zeny hidden under her bed. Despite the plainness of the room, Lhya always kept he part somewhat more distinguished, compared to her own side. Anonymous of course, they were both assassin's. Any traces of their identities carelessly left around could very much be the thing that killed them. So what on earth was a diary doing on her bed? Much less in plain sight? Reika knew her partner in crime long enough to know that she wasn't the best person in keeping secrets and things about her personality hidden... but something like this was either obscenely stupid of her friend, or a trap of some sort. Curiously gripped her harder then a chimera's claw. As Reika subconsciously started chewing on her nails, a habit that she had developed when she would go in depth to think of something. Her brain was jumping from the inner turmoil faced inside. Read? Not to read? Funny how that she was actually in a rush the very day, supposedly on a mission to help collect some deadly herbs in the Mjolnir mountains with another friend, only to rush back quickly to grab her extra weapons and provisions. The buzzing noises of her friend calling her in her mind were quickly shut out, as Reika sat tentatively on the bed, a staring contest between her and the pink frilly book. Pink!? Lhya doens't even Like pink!... Or did she? How much did she really know about her friend really? They were both assassin's... So it would mean that she might have been holding up a mask of emotions as well, hiding her true self from the world. But, it was different for Reika, she knew her friend inside and out, being through life and death together. They started off as partners, and ended up as friends. Something that just don't happen often in an assassin's guild. Before she knew it, Reika's hand had crept slowly forward, opting to touch, maybe getting the feel of the book might be enough to satisfy her own curiosity... "REIKA!" Reika shot up instantly, turning to her back, only to be gazing at the oh so familiar face of her friend. "Lh-Lh-Lhya! I thought you were suppose to be in Geffen now..." Reika whimpered pathetically, hoping for dear life that she didn't sound as guilty as she thought she sounded. "Came back early, job was finished. Why are you sitting on my bed?" the short haired assassin asked. Her tone giving nothing away. Normally, one would assume that the facial expression, and tone the other assassin was taking would be the one of a casual tone. But Reika already knew that it was her signature tone of being somewhat annoyed, and wanting answers. "I thought that you had one of my weapons under your bed, I couldn't find it in my closet, so I assumed you took it and went looking through your bed for it." Reika replied back, thanking herself for her own quick witted thinking, knowing that Lhya and her would often take one and others gears for their own use without telling one and other. "I have your Dagger here, you can have it back, since I'm not gonna be using it." Reika inwardly sighed with relief, pushing the pink book, and rumpling it within the sheets of Lhya's bed swiftly before standing up. Grabbing the dagger from Lhya's hand with ease, before heading out for the door without looking back. "You coming back for dinner?" "Yea, job should be done by then, want me to get anything for you?" "Naw, I'm cooking dinner, be back by 7." "I will, if I don't die." It was the routine they would both say to one and other, knowing that some jobs would go bad. It was somewhat a way of telling one and other to be safe, and that they had someone expecting them back at home. Reika had friends, but non as close as Lhya herself. It was good to have a person, she guessed. "Oh and Rei." "Yea?" Reika's senses triggered, turning her body reflexively, with her arm raised, she caught the pink book right on time. "Something for you to read while your getting there. Its nothing that you wouldn't know." Lhya grinned. "Yea, probably." Was all she could say. Reika smiled silently as she walked turned around, not bothering to look back. A small creeping onto her face, both reflecting her emotions at that time. Guilt and happiness. Putting the small pink book inside her pouch, she knew that she wouldn't be touching the book the whole way. She guessed that she didn't need to read a diary to know how her friend felt about her. -------------------------------------------------------------- End :D Like it?
