teacupx Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyatlov_pass_accident my mom told me about it. she lived in russia when it happened. she had a summer house in the urals and told me all these stories about weird mountain people and tribes in the surrounding areas.
Millenia Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 still reading, but from what i've read so far, freaky shit
teacupx Posted May 9, 2009 Author Report Posted May 9, 2009 yaya. my mom thinks the khanty mansi people did it. ancient travelers recorded being like blinded by a strange cloud and not able to go any further when going through that land... and what's weird is some of the dyatlov hikers were separated and went in weird directions as if they couldn't see.. and I remember reading that they had tried to chop wood but the way they were chopping it was as if they were blind... I'm really skeptical but the khanty mansi people are very strange... they're known for shamanism and living off of the land. I read other stories about this golden effigy, called the golden baba, who can "blind" people. one explorer talked to a blind man in the khanty mansi settlement and he said he looked at the golden baba and was blinded... and where this happened was "on the east shoulder of the mountain Kholat Syakhl (Холат Сяхл) (a Mansi name, meaning Mountain of the Dead)" really weird stuff. maybe the government was testing shit on them.
teacupx Posted May 9, 2009 Author Report Posted May 9, 2009 yaya. I read a bunch of shit and I think what happened was that there was an avalanche and a wolf ate that lady's tongue and their dead bodies got sunburned because the snow reflected on them.
Icarus Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 I read on some other site that the investigations indicates there was no avalanche near by and for some reason the Soviet government kept it in secret documents till 1990. And wouldn't it be weird that a wolf would eat only the tongue and leave the other parts untouched?
teacupx Posted May 9, 2009 Author Report Posted May 9, 2009 ya, true. maybe the government was doing tests for some new kinda weapon and weren't informed about them being there.
Icarus Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 Maybe Jay was trying to rape them? >.> That would explain the girl's missing tongue.
