I guess a elite box set would work fine then.

Yes you will be able to Cast resurrection, redemptio use ygg leaves and any of the sort

You are allowed to access storage

you may not save in the other world, there will be no kafra (there can be but it'll suck all your hp just like in nif wekeke)

and you may not warp to or in this area.

Well, my MVP was going to be the center of a completely different thing. It was going to be a long and difficult quest that gave you access to the MVP, and the MVP would be very challenging etc. For his drop I was thinking more of a new item, yet something everyone would want, like a special weapon, or an alternate version of forsaken armor.

I've been planning this for months. So to have this new idea spring up all of a sudden really fucks it up. My MVP will be the Divine Dragon, which is the main boss in the Legend of Dragoon. And since your idea revolves around the same thing, it would be illogical not to incorporate our ideas somehow.

I was thinking of something a bit more ambitious in terms of maps. I wanted to have someone create a set of custom maps. The Divine Dragon would be in a volcano, just like he is in the game when he breaks free. And the quest would be a storyline, and very intricate.

Once one completes the quest he would gain a certain status (Divine Status, maybe with a special aura), and perhaps extra skill points. And every time the MVP is killed, there would be a server wide BC that would say "The Divine Dragon has been defeated by _____ party."

Actually I like the idea of the MvP just not most of the items.

Great story back line. I would love to tank this guy and try to actually just earn the title that we killed it. Lol.

So yes implement it just not the item drops.

I'm liking your ideas but having two desperate major mvps would be outrageous.

And I would not object to the type of mvp you're making. As long as its sexy and original. wekekeke

I think auras tend to error people so we might want to rule that out. I don't mind alterations, but major alterations as to completely rule off making the story base expansion wont be accepted by me. This whole purpose is to finally make the story based quest that forsakenRO has yet to do for the past year do to "waiting for more people".

Custom set of maps will be great to have, we can change around the story but we wouldn't want it to be too off.

I don't think people would want much of a better weapon, as the elite weapons are good enough, but we'd have to ask others before making ideas like that. In fact, people DO want a better weapon because they want to be stronger and stronger and be able to kill people faster and faster. Power hungry people. But we don't want anything too powerful as to kill someone in like 2 seconds, so we need to limit things. Headgears are more of a "i like" thing because its displayable in game. Can't exactly show off your weapon, unless you sprite the weapons to give a significant look. Like a glow.

And maybe there can be a token that you get from the dragon from being in the party that killed it, and give a special sprite color of clothes from a different color NPC.

The broadcast is a really good idea.

Read the stats of the boss. Read what you have to do. You think half the people will survive without support? I'd rather not have people spawning it every day being able to get every item it drops in less than a week. They're supposed to be strong items. Spam spawning it is not cool cuz you get too many drops and the rarity of the items decrease by 90%. Think about it. Its once a week for a reason. Not everyone can pop a party out of nowhere and defeat it.

Besides. the more people the faster it dies.

Also the purpose is to have a lot of people trying to kill it.

I'd like to see you solo it.

BTW we still need opinions on what skills to give it.

I'm thinking a 1% chance to coma per hit.

Opinions on skills will be altered around for fairness and be added into the first post.

Also:

Sprite creations/opinions will also be very much appreciated for each monster aimed to be implemented.

I like how you take my idea and make it into your own -.-; Kind of Erks me LOL. I have a whole Little quest line written up, while it partially fails it does have its ups and downs and a few drops on the boss, which I did have fking items drop but I decided to take it off (Which is what ytou don't have) but an array of useful cards are all droppable and can maybe lead to being a bit OPed(Which will just be a bit of number editting) but actually brings balance to a few classes. I didn't read this though because I was just to lazy to read an Idea that I originally came up with and that was warped so that someone else may get credit for it.... but meh ~

It doesn't actually sound bad at all. After reading it through, this idea isn't so bad imo.

EDIT: I forgot to say that +12 stat wings are a no no, since the rucksack already has 10 and its a rare item. maybe 1% for the Corrupted Aurora thingy, but yeah 10% is too high. Just my thoughts though.

Rucksack it's not rare item anymore and sugestion about topic sounds awesome for me, server will up to next level:)

Lol Idc, I'm not even active anymore but you knew about my new MVP spill for awhile and how I was writing up a quest line for it, while it isn't as in depth it involves a few more cards and actually using some of the other useful RO Maps and I had a bit of thought behind the sub bosses creation and a bit more add ons, all following the legend of dragoon storyline of course. As well I had(have) an array of card creations, while seemingly overpowered(a few of them) can easily be modified to fit a more suitable award. It was moreso to bring balance to classes though which was my original intentions of even creating the cards, as well the main drop card isnt overpowered one bit ^^. if a "smart mvp" idea was possible I would most likely have my MVP be somewhat like that. Devotion is already making the Divine Dragon. I will read what you have and if it is to far off I will just ignore it but if I like the idea I may beable to give you what I have so that you can see some of the stuff I had written down and maybe we can combine ideas.

Go cry a river. He just has to refine his ideas a little. Why can't it be implemented? It would give us all something to do instead of causing more drama like Valiant vs Trancension.

Fucking eh I would LOVE to take this thing on with a bunch of my friends. Getting something in the end that's worth it? Makes it even all the more sweet.

I was thinking for this, when attacking it would show some type of Ink effect. Like when you're attacking, it should show like lines of ink going back in the direction you're attacking.

For example, Siege's Ink Aura Spell. [ Credits go to Siege btw;. ]

Jay... I came up with the general idea and I had an idea already drawn up -.-; ask Devotion or better yet read the whole "New Mvp" Thread -.-;;;;;;;;; Lol... and Imo if we use the "Dragoon" name I think we should maybe stick a bit more to the storyline >.>; Just being honest XP.....

Edit:: I am not against this though, I think it should happen but I still think this whole idea needs a bit of improvement, maybe a bit more on the story line. Since Devo is making the Divine Dragon lets focus on that.

Like lets say Genesis could make the boss its own race "Divine Dragon" and we could make accessory items(since if we made them weapons it would be lame, that can't be traded or storaged that are obtained through the quest to gain acess to the "Dimensional warp" -.-; >.>;;;, or that could be dropped off of the other little mini bosses( which I think should be remade/named >.>; -.-;. But in the game LoD inorder to beat the Divine Dragon you first must contain its power with the "Dragon Block Staff" and then the only way to kill it is with the "Dragoon Buster" maybe associating these ideas into it will add a bit of spice to LoD lovers and even make the story make a bit more sense. I also think that the rip should have a quest involved to get into it - Maybe involving cards less used (Vesper, Atros_ and even using a few maps and places that have been left unused. I have had a general idea of some good areas but I won't post them here so not to spoil anything ^^

Ask Siege/Leni/Nick to do the sprites I'll code the NPCs.

In other words, it has already been accepted. We just need people to help us with the sprites etc and stuff

BTW i did not read anything about your quest line or of the sort. if i did then i don't remember it. i thought of all this on the spot so it may have been thought of before and heavily flawed.

What i thought about the weapons was making a little flame or something directly on the weapon. like a white flame and when you attack, you see a track of the flame. (Nexus LOL)

The ink thing sorta makes you uhh. look possessed or "corrupted" lolol.

Perhaps we can add in the ink aura into the drops list, and perhaps if someone makes the king sprite, we can have them be using the ink aura.

So before finalizing a sprite that you or others have made, i suggest you post it here so we can give feed back and to see how you are doing so far.

Also ethereal we'd need siege's approval T.T.

Also what i had in mind was weapons that looked similar to the balmung or mjolnir in inventory, but also show in game.

actually when i think about it. Auras wouldn't be so bad (you know the ones that show when your level 99)

We REALLY need people to help though.

I also thought of making the choice of being able to pick between 2 layouts for the main website once this is complete. like Corrupted Layout (a new dark feeling one) and a "Purified"(current one).

By clicking on like a small dimensional rip in the corner of the website to switch between the 2 layouts. with black squigglys coming out of it lolol. But that's entirely not my decision.

and before thinking anything bad, i can't steal your work because everyone knows i cant draw anyways.

just sign it in your own way somehow in an image.

If anything post an example in a different thread for more visibility and publication for feedback.

And maybe someone with hardcore artistic skills can make a video clip for RO to put annoyingly at the front of the web site before entering it lolol. like the ADs. and i dont mean fraps and ingame play. i mean like details and actual drawings.

Avoiding more double posts:

I have sorta begun thinking about also creating more storyline after this one. Perhaps, if possible, alliancing character wise, not guild-wise. I'm sure it can because it has been done before in a different server. my ideas do not come from scratch in my brain. I always base it off something but add in some alternations too. But more thought to that will come after the completion of this.

Some more motivation to work on this for more content in the future /gg

Kuyuti did type up everything and he did send it to me. That is/was our first stage of preparation, once the thread sparked the idea. Details come later. The focus of our quest was the Divine Dragon. So without that sprite there is no quest. Once I do the sprite, then we would have refined the quest idea, and THEN presented it. Look I've been planning this for months, there's an entire quest line to be polished.

I'd also like to add (talking to everyone in general), that even though it's amitsu's idea, it is about dragons, and it is about an impossible MVP, which is awfully familiar to kuyuti and I's idea. From what I see, his concept is similar but his idea veers extremely far from mine. If I'm going to collaborate, it's going to be half, half, or nothing. Because I'm not going to throw away months of thought and work just like that.

Don't sprite the Divine Dragon please, that WAS my idea. No one is to take it. I'll decide later what to do with it.

I think this is a nice improvement.

This server has gotten everyone to think MVP'ing should be a solo thing, but the truth is MVP's were made to be taken down by team effort (Obviously. >__> )

The drops are nice, but I think that God card is overdoing it a bit in my opinion. It should be changed to something more simple.

I also think the forsaken wings drop chance should be reduced to about 10%. That way it'll be kind've a rare thing.

Belts would be a nice drop to add, but not F.Set pieces.

That's about it. If you and Devotion work together on this, something made of epic win could be born. <3

Plus, I'd love to draw concept sketches for this thing~

EDIT: By the way, if I did do a sketch for this Forsaken God/ Divine Dragoon character, should he dragon-ish? Or more humanoid looking.

but the whole purpose of my thread is for a story line extension. if we don't do that and have it revolve around ONLY divine dragon, then we'll just have some random quest like every other quest that has been made and NEVER have a story line going on. which is the entire point of my post, to have a storyline.

and i dare say its not impossible lol. i CAN make it impossible though wekekeke <3 but then it would lose its point.

but really i'm sure it didn't take months for you to just think of something because i thought of all this within a days time. probably because i have more in depth knowledge and had to do like no research at all on RO. but iono you guys so w/e.

Designing sprites, map concepts etc takes a while. Anyone with imagination can pull a story out of their ears. Takes much more dedication to go beyond that.

Kuyuti's basic idea has a storyline, and I had no intention of making this quest a typical 'get me these items and I give you this,' type.

indeed cuz that's what every other quest is. but by storyline i mean connect it to what the prince douche says and not just create a story line based off of nothing. its a mainstream story line type thing.

So instead of just complaining about what's what, its better to work on this with others to speed of progress and make it more efficient with others. Also you need FEEDBACK for even making something, because things can just get ignored when people dislike it.

to be honest it sorta ticked me off hearing that someone was making or already writing something, another quest that has yet nothing to do with the prince douche in the game. also it not being mentioned or being feedback gained from any other player at all. including the fact that someone would think that their idea would be completely acceptable without anyone seeing it or giving feedback to it. that's my personal thoughts that i have as the person i am right now.

its obvious that spiriting and designing takes a long time, that's why you don't work by yourself. I have no talent, that's why i'm asking for help from others. but you clearly didn't look for help and thought you could do everything yourself. not an insult btw. just a heads up.

Well I will be the first to admit my questline isn't the best but I tried to add the storyline of LoD into the game. I like the whole "Another world" sort of idea it has a nice spark to it but I don't agree with the relics and what not and not entirely with the stats on the boss. I also think that another set of "Forsaken God" Weapons could be introduced if another world or another map was introduced and these weapons with original or non original names (Just no "Forsaken God's Sword" but like "Caladbalg" or something cool along those lines) through another series of quests that may involve item gathering but a bit more to ther extreme- To go as far as to that the bosses Minions drop "tokens" and these tokens are collected by people and then the minibosses drop some rare item at a rare chance lets just for this sake call it a "Shiny Object" and then the last boss has a chance to drop special items like a "Memorial of a Paladin" and then some NPC in this other world will take a ton of tokens + Shiny object + Memorial of Pally + Elite Sword to make a Caladbolg (This can be done in phases of course to utilize the importants of the hard to get tokens): This idea is some what related to the function of Dynamis is FF11 but will differ because RO is a different game.

Since Devotion will be making a divine Dragon I think the story line of LoD should be included into this aswell (Just to make it reasonable) So like I said early in the game a Dragoon Buster is needed to kill the Dragon ( Possibly increases damage to the dragon?) and the Dragoon Block Staff was used to weaken the dragon (More hit and more def against the dragon) so I think maybe these two should be implemented in some way (Maybe as Accessories since making a weapon would be pointless) and make them a neccessity to have to beat the dragon.

I also think with an oppurtunity of a new world comes the oppurtunity to make new cards that could possibly even focus on class balance issues with I think should be taken advantage of. I don't know the game well enough to know cause and effects but I'm sure the people here could come up with some pretty balancing cards which can always be tested.

As well I think the "Divine Dragons" Card a new skill, if possible, should be implmented to make the card worth more than a few stats. And Also maybe a Divine Dragon Aura could be dropped and at first my general idea was just a simple aura that resists all status effects ( coma included) but lowers HP by some amount, or some other viable penalty- While I have a graphical Idea for this I will leave that to the masters since I wouldn't even know if my idea was possible.

Sorry if this was TL;DR just trying to help add in some stuff.
