OmegaIntensity Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Alright, I don't care about the two-sec casting time. Or that Kiels are teh better choice. I just want a clear and definite answer to save me time. Does the High Wiz card, which ignores mdef, actually work against players? It logically should do work since Incan, which ignores def, does. I apologize if this simple question offends the pros.
Zeitgeist Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 It does ignore the MDEF of the target. However, that sometimes comes as counterproducent since some people's MDEF is on the negative values due to Tao Gunka.
Millenia Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 It does ignore the MDEF of the target. However, that sometimes comes as counterproducent since some people's MDEF is on the negative values due to Tao Gunka. ...It does? >.> I thought it was nerfed to not work on players and only monsters.
» Pat Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 It says 'nomal monsters' which players do count as. (;
Millenia Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Ohh, thanks. I'm going to go buy one naos! I was led to believe it didn't work.
Nick Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 oh fuck then my 120 mdef build will be shitty! D:
Cirrus Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Someone should test it out... since I was led to believe that HW card doesn't work on people as well.
Liftrasil Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Someone should test it out... since I was led to believe that HW card doesn't work on people as well. It was tested on my 98 hard MDEF and it works. MDEF dmage w/ hwiz >.< (my god... i nvr realize my dmg is kinda low to player) The only problem is when people use Tao it's HARD MDEF is already negative, so using HWiz card is infact reducing ur damage than increase it.
Hrist Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 It was nerfed for the pre-GTB change some months ago. The idea got abolished and the HW card was returned to normal.
OmegaIntensity Posted April 8, 2009 Author Report Posted April 8, 2009 Cool! So High Wiz does negate target's mdef. Thanks, you guys! Each and everyone who contributed to this thread. This puts me one step forward in the development phase. The thread has reached its conclusion.
