darrendota1 Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 This is full of sh1t. The ones that are making the viruses are the companies themselves. They do it so that people would buy their anti-virus programs. In this way, people would spend their money. Fuck the business world. Freakin' corrupt.
nines Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 You realize their not saying go out and buy virus protection, they're saying to make sure your computer is up to date have a virus scanner dosn't matter if its free or not or spy bot s&d. Who cares even if it isn't a real virus and if they made it you update your computer runs better safer from other shit. I updated yesterday took me 4 hours had 37 updates and my comps running better. So who cares, and just because your opinion is that the buisness world is corrupt dosn't mean they would go and make a super virus to make a few cheap bucks when it would cost them more money to be allowed to get this notified government would find out about a super virus also.

Errr... 'Free' virus scanners plant viruses onto your laptop then when you scan and find out you have a virus, they hope that you'll buy the full product so you can then get rid of that virus. I care that companies have the nerve to do that. I still have yet to find an anti-virus software that doesn't fuck over my computer, and yes, I mean the ones I actually bought... Well, it certainly works well for them.
Nick Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Anti-virus? On vista? I thought even viruses were not compatible with vista.
darrendota1 Posted March 31, 2009 Author Report Posted March 31, 2009 "Tomorrow -- April 1 -- is D-Day for Conficker, as whatever nasty payload it's packing is currently set to activate. What happens come midnight is a mystery: Will it turn the millions of infected computers into spam-sending zombie robots? Or will it start capturing everything you type -- passwords, credit card numbers, etc. -- and send that information back to its masters?" http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/132464 I'll just turn my laptop off. That shit aint going inside my computer.
kuoch Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 My damn pc got a virus atm, and it pisses me off wicked bad. But I'm fine! /ho

kuoch Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Too much pr0n? :> No, my niece click on one of those random links that when some people on your msn messengers and someone sent it to her and she opened it, and my computer went horrible. I can barely Speed asura anymore.
Amitsu Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 APRIL FOOOOOLS What won't work? Turning your PC off tonight and back on on April 2 will not protect you from the worm (sorry to the dozens of people who wrote me asking if this would do the trick). Temporarily disconnecting your computer from the web won't help if the malware is already on your machine -- it will simply activate once you connect again. Changing the date on your PC will likely have no helpful effect, either. And yes, Macs are immune this time out. Follow the above instructions to detect and remove the worm. LOOOL and yea there are viruses that try to make you download an anti-virus with a virus on it.
Nick Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 and yea there are viruses that try to make you download an anti-virus with a virus on it. Wouldn't that be... pointless. A virus that makes you download a virus. Think about it.
Amitsu Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 trust me there is. its on my desktop computer(still). no lie. but whats the point in viruses in the first place? but i think the point is to force them to download different viruses that lead to others and many more forcing computers to break down eventually.
death... Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 and yea there are viruses that try to make you download an anti-virus with a virus on it. Yeah they exist and try to ruin my hardcore fROiiing ._.
death... Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Lol I don't know. I just found it in google. You like it, don't you? :)
Nick Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 I guess depends on what you define as 'virus'. Anything really seems to be a termed a 'virus'; even if it doesn't spread from computer to computer like a virus would. The most common type of classical virus I've dealt with are usually linked to form a massive botnet to attack a server (Distributed Denial of Service attack), as many machines can handle a lot more than one machine alone. ON A COMPLETELY UNRELATED NOTE I WRITE TOO MUCH FOR THE WIKI, I SERIOUSLY TYPED [http://stuff link] FOR LINKS AND TRIED PUTTING ~~~~ AT THE END OF MY POST. q_q
darrendota1 Posted April 1, 2009 Author Report Posted April 1, 2009 I think viruses on laptops and computers just makes your computer uber slow plus even though you didn't open your internet browser, it would automatically open, not just one, but a bunch of 'em continously, discussing about random ads and whatsoever. Happened to me once. I got pissed, so I bought a new laptop. :>
Amitsu Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 its sorta restricting a lot of access to internet like, its decreasing my signal power on my desk top. its also trying to make me download pron
Nick Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Oh. Yeah. The virus downloaded those 5 GB of porn. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.
Millenia Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I remember when my 11 year old sister got a bunch of viruses / spyware and it all lead back to porn sites. qq
death... Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Yeah, they sometimes pop-out in a new window then someone sees you then thinks you watch porn oh shit >_>
