This piece right here has so much feeling in it. It's amazing that someone used this render. And didn't just simply make it look good. Instead added more of a aura around it. It's such a phenomenal piece.

The theme 'Death' was projected by the piece very well.

And though the scene is all gloomy and what not, the fairies were a good touch. :3

#1. The only thing that made me think of 'death' was the text.

For me, skulls and crossbones = poison or pirates.

#2. Is that Samus or Halo? I almost couldn't even tell that it was

one of them. Again, it just doesn't fit with what I was expecting

to see in the Death version of SOTW.

#3. First off, I love your style. There's no name attached but it's

screams you. If you took out the text then noone would ever

know that this was an entry for a Death contest. The image itself

just doesn't relay the theme, unless you've seen that movie with

that one guy who lost his wife and child and he keeps seeing those

butterflies or something and in the end the butterfly leads him to

the place where his wife died and he finds out his child lived.

It's still a very lovely image.

#4. FINALLY, something that says Death! Spiderman slumped

over M.J.'s grave after an exhausting battle. The darkness is closing

in and the light from within is spreading out. I can see the camera

zooming in as the light grows stronger.

#5. Hmm, looks like a mix between L.O.D., a leech with a blowhole

and the alien hideout from Abyss. It's just not doing anything

for me.

I'd like to vote for this one.

I feel that this sig just screams the theme of death. The render used it perfect, not only does it show the hardship that Spiderman had to endure in fighting but it also shows that he may have won from a hard battle but he still lost someone very dear to him and that just sucks (lack of better wording LOL). I feel that the aura added also emphasizes the emotions conveyed by the render and makes it even more effective.

I'm not going to vote right away, but I'll explain why I'd vote for the following two

Number 4 is impressive. So many sigs look nice and flashy, but almost zero of them have any ounce of story. It took me a while to see what it was, but when I did it was amazing. The emotion in it is superior to all the others, which should be present when you're dealing with death. The colors could be a little more varied, but the aura around the tombstone reminds me of a spirit, maybe Mary Jane's spirit.

Number 5 impressed me too, because of that animation. Very neat, I love that part. But the other half of the sig is lost, and very hard to follow. I know what it is after looking closely at it. It's hard to pick between 5 and 4. The horse's head is amazing. But if you drew that, let me know and I'll edit my vote, because if you draw something and make it a sig, that's the best sig making out there.

Even though I'm typing my research paper right now, I still took time to think on why I vote for signature 4.

There's this unknown feeling I just get when I see it, as if it really captured death even without showing the grim reaper or any other text aside from the grave stone.

It's superbly done, and I would really give it my 100% vote.

I like the style portrayed into this signature, it's the only one I wouldn't consider an eyesore.

The concept of the fairies also could be incorporated into a symbolic meaning of spiritual resemblance, featuring the theme.

Of all the images, this one was my favorite. And is probably the only one I wouldn't go blind looking at; not to mention that sexy font.

I'm not much of an artist but when I look at pictures I'm looking for some sort of story behind. Where as number 3 has a nice quote added onto it it lacks the depth of story that number 4 contains so my vote will go for number 4 ^^ because:

The artistic talent that captures the story of death.

The symbolism created when the suit is being torn off is amazing.

The colors are simply beautiful.

I honestly love the theme. Above all of them who had a job well done, signature number 4 didn't fail me. It took me a while to look who's in the sig. and realized that it was him :) I loved the aura effects and his chose of the grave that really fits the theme. In this sig., I really sensed the fatigue and his feelings when he lost someone very important in his life that makes it different among the other sigs...

So it turns out Siege actually drew his sig, and didn't just take pictures off the net. I commend that highly, especially that he animated it. It's not the sleekest sig out of the bunch, but sometimes the best one doesn't have to be modern looking.

So I vote for 5. Refer to my last post for my reason.

As a side note, It was really hard choosing between 4 and 5. The deciding factor was that 4 has gotten enough votes, and I wanted to give 5 a chance.

I vote for signature number 4.

Definitely the most emotional and expressive composition in the running for this week's SOTW. Everyone can relate to the Peter Parker/MJ story, and the render chosen was very smart. Looking at it, I can already formulate a whole story to go along with it, which is a sign of a work well done. Very striking signature.

On a side note: The anonymity component of this week's SOTW was very smart. :] I really don't know who made which signature - cuz I KNOW BLUEBERRY SUBMITTED ONE, BUT SIGNATURE 4 COULD BE HIS...OR SOMEONE ELSE'S WHO USES THE SAME BORDER, JAJAJAJAJAJJAAJAJ. LOOLOLOLOL AHAUAHUAHAUAHAH. BANANAS & BONGOS.
