But wanting items, no matter what kind, for having an accepted suggestion, is still materialistic. Here's a dictionary definition: 1. Philosophy The theory that physical matter is the only reality and that everything, including thought, feeling, mind, and will, can be explained in terms of matter and physical phenomena. If one agrees that you can have a society on an online game, then one must also agree to have standards for that society. And in RO, like in real life these day, having the stronger, better item is preferred. Whether or not you can actually hold these items doesn't matter, because in the gaming society we created, they are materials, and items. What I don't want to happen is to have the suggestion section flooded with repetitive, selfish suggestions. Most people who make suggestions currently are not doing it solely for their benefit, or for the possibility of having an item in game. That in itself is commendable. I'll agree that there can be a prize, but it can't go beyond recognition, and mustn't be able to sell it or trade it. I've seen medals on Gen's forum page. Maybe a medal on the forum page, and a recognition in your signature would be appropriate. An in-game recognition could be an NPC which lists the contributors to the server. ...I pretty much said this a page ago.
Devotion Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 Having an exclusive "accepted suggestion" item prize would flood the suggestion thread with useless stuff. I can see it now. You (that's a general statement), shouldn't be concerned with a physical prize of any sort. I think the majority of our population would feel more comfortable knowing that the suggestions integrated into the game are there because of careful thought from certain players, and their want to improve the server they play.
Groxy Drank Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 To my thinking...suggestion approved is the reward itself, you gave an idea you liked and seeing it working is the greatest reward you can have :3 This is the best suggestion what would u do with 1 Ygg tix maybe u get 10 tix or more day by day 1 tix wont make any difference. Another thing is that a reward at the forums like Genesis trophy is something to say and show people "Hey i made a suggestion and it was approved" Like if we care.

So ya if you don't have a smart, logical comment to make please don't make one at all ~ <3 :D

Some a little too hard *-* But if you want to be remembered for a contribution you made to the server, make it a good one, and think through it, then make a really good to-the-point proposition. Instead of items in game, maybe there should be a Hall of Fame for those significant contributions made by players. Their names would be listed, along with what they added. Example: Forum Name: Mac Game Name: insert here Contribution: Custom FRO rucksacks (you can name them all) Date: xx/xx/xx And it would be a pinned thread in the Announcement section.
