Lucius Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Raise it to 150 Vitality instead of 99. It'll make tons of useless skills useful and add versatility to PvP. Discuss
Methamphetamine Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Does anybody have less than 150 vit in a pvp build? I usually get 150 dex, 195 aspd, max str or dex depending on what char (I don't play int-based much), and I still have enough status points left for ~200 vit.
Lucius Posted February 6, 2009 Author Report Posted February 6, 2009 Believe it or not, yes. If not we can raise it to 160 then, but that's too much.
Methamphetamine Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Funny. What status effects do you want to use either way? The three important ones I can think of are freeze, stone and sleep, the first two for changing the target's element and latter since it's available as a trap and fset doesn't block it - two properties which neither of the first two share, and 100 vit blocks neither.

Stun, Blind, Internal Bleeding or whatever, Silence...
Terroryst Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I say we should allow status effects, but just make higher vit give higher resistance.
Methamphetamine Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Hmm.. Stun would set DEF to 0 so it would raep thana, idk if it would really be that good. Silence is ridiculously easily countered using green pots, heck I had those things hotkeyed on my LR wiz. External Bleeding isn't really worth it, plus I don't know if any player skills can inflict it. I guess blind would be sorta useful, especially vs ranged chars, but the only thing that inflicts it that I can recall off the top of my mind is sand attack, which is close-ranged either way.
Millenia Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I kinda like this idea. Maybe gypsies dazzler skill will actually be useful ;_; what about coma ?! ...GTB blocks coma.
Amitsu Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I kinda like this idea. Maybe gypsies dazzler skill will actually be useful ;_; ...GTB blocks coma. so? medusa blocks stone curse orc hero blocks stun etc
Methamphetamine Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Medusa = no GTB, no usakoring Orc hero = one less headgear card, either gemini or kiel or maya purple. etc.. The fact that you need these or less str/dex to not get affected by status is the REASON why this topic is made, so you can play around with people's gear as you see fit then rape them with what they're least expecting, example is stone cursing + holy arrows to counter ED, once they switch to it.
Kusanagi Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Indeed that would be usefull, although I usually have 140 vit + 60 so... well full-melee classes woulnt be afected by this change unless the cap is 200-255

Famililar or however it's called. The bat in pay_dun00. & I think this would definitely overpower LoD cards. Remember we have 195 aspd.
Lucius Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 Famililar or however it's called. The bat in pay_dun00. & I think this would definitely overpower LoD cards. Remember we have 195 aspd. Then reduce the chances to cast those things with the LoD cards. Everything is countered but will require more equipment and would once again, create more versatility in battle since you'd have to change your equipment more often in order to avoid certain things. Green Potions add more weight capacity which means you'd have to carry less yggs or sacrifice a slot for a card that gives you immunity to said status.
Yusuke Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Sorry Disagree, for mvping it will hurt the build A LOT. I use less than 150 but a bit more than 99 and I cannot waste anymore stats on vit. Keep it 99 please.
SkullPanda Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 As good as this sounds, the only classes I see suffering from this are magic classes and champions. They're the only classes I can think of that would have less than 150 Vit. And magic classes really don't need to be any more underpowered.
gamersrule26 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 mages overpower alot of people if they dont have a gtb
Millenia Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 If champs have to get 150 vit for status immunity it might make them more balanced...
SkullPanda Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 If champs have to get 150 vit for status immunity it might make them more balanced... True. But some people bitch about magic classes, so meh. mages overpower alot of people if they dont have a gtb Profs and Ninjas can be countered by Maya and Frus. And most Wizards just Storm Gust and Jupitel Thunder. Find a way around it, pretty simple.
Born2punish Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Reflect from the maya card will not be a problem.
Yusuke Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Too bad the server thinks just of pvp and not mvp even a bit so yeah if it will be 150 vit which will totally ruin mvping , I am sure leaving. Need to think of other stuff as well not only pvp (Yes, there are some people who find mvping more fun than pvping).
