» Pat Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 a) Of what I've expirienced, it feels like BB has a farther range but I might be wrong. b) If your enemy just uses Safety wall to counter BB, you can switch to DS in just a second and they won't be able to Pneuma ( SW ). c) If your enemy wears a GR, you can just use Immaterial Arrows which will make your damage go up by 25%.

Else, idk which one would be overridable. Also, kobold archer cap + elite stalker bow should work, right? If it's a Crossbow, yes.

If you have any Stormy Knight cards, you can use those with Wind Arrows and do a lot more damage once you freeze them. If there's a card that inflicts Stone Curse with attacking (which I'm pretty sure there isn't) you can combine that with Fire. But still, it would be nice to have other weapons for Elite Stalkers for different purposes because, in my opinion, one of a Stalker's main advantages (besides Full Strip) is versatility. If it's possible to script, maybe there could be one weapon that could use any skill that requires a weapon prerequisite; that'd be pretty fun xD.

I have 5 or 6 in my storage but I've never, ever, used them.
Anarii Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 BB damage relies on ATK, so if you have a bow on and 300 DEX you'll pretty much have as much atk as a STR dagger (somewhat). You'll probably expect around the same damage output from both of them, but with the bow you are much more vulnerable because you can't wear a shield (but to make up for it you can switch to DS at any time and are able to use any element,arrows, which also apply to BB and the immaterial arrow is a great boost against GR user).. uhh.. imo, the best way to play stalker is to avoid and deal damage, not to survive.. and also, with DEX build your stripping chance is nearly 100% while the STR build is much less. but ya i just dat kinda guy dat like to play dis way so idk wat u like u do wat u like, k? idk i ramble alot sumtimes!

Not saying that everybody who doesn't FCP is nab, but, people sure do use FCP when facing Stalkers, else get owned ('cept maybe Pallies with hotkeys to every piece of equipment.)
