I few in a few card ideas and even wrote out the quest line which will make a few MVP cards more useful. I am just crossing my fingers and hopes this gets passed and tested. I guess we can only see.

chalkzone Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 No matter how strong this new MvP would be, in 3-5months, this MvP would be not so Epic anymore. Why? Mainly because it's an AI, and AIs have patterns. Sooner or later, players would figure out an easy way around this mean machine. I agree more on the "Deathmatch w/ Genesis" idea. The map should be somewhat the size of Izlude and ppl cannot warp but can use teleport skill. @storage should be disable in this map. But the Genesis should be bounded by some rules like: - He cannot use GM commands within the deathmatch. - He cannot use any kind of healing items. But he can use Heal skill on himself. - He can only use a maximum of lvl25 of any kinda of skill. - He cannot use teleport skill. - He cannot use uber skills like instant death etc... But since the He got 10k all base stats + all class skills(EDP+Despe ftw :D) + full equips(I bet he got 4 slot equips), I don't think this would be easy . Plus the fact that Genesis is a Pro PvPer and can change strategies when needed. This should be held once or twice a month. If you want adventure etc., maybe we could put a long long dungeon quest that will give you admission on the said event(a Deathmatch ticket as the quest reward), and only players with the deathmatch ticket can participate on the day of the event. Maybe we could put Genesis' clone(which is 1/3 as powerful as the real Gen) OR the new MvP you want at the end of the dungeon. The point is an uber strong MvP bounded by AI is not as epic as it seems.(Unless it was made to be invincible and unbeatable).

Or you could just build a perpetoomobile which will then produce enough energy to provide the whole world with it & to make enough money to hire 30+ professional developers.

It will be beatable somehow, will look unbeatable and after awhile some people with numbers will be able to beat.l but it still takes numbers and will still be hard to beat. Having Genesis as the MVP is stupid... Really stupid O.o... You need an actual boss that drops stuff >.> Enough with the pointless GM mvp ideas guys. be serious. and a learning script would be nice if that is possible, which I am sure it is but could possibly be very buggy
Devotion Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 How about the MPV changes properties (RANDOMLY, meaning it can go to ANY property) every 100k HP. No pattern there. Of course, this might not be possible. But yeah I think many of you are missing the point. The Genesis MVP can be for another time and for another quest. And this would be a long dungeon quest with multiple MVP's. And it's not only AI's that become predictable...any boss in any type of game will get easier to beat because a pattern of some sort will emerge, or because you will know its attacks and its damage and fight accordingly. Now how about an MVP that randomply changes properties every 100k HP, and heals for 200k quite fast. Not to mention the skills he will have. We do sort of want this to be a bit "impossible." And imagine if the dungeon warper removed FCP and FCP was impossible on the map, then he stripped you of your shield, and then dished out enormous magic attacks. And now add a ygg delay... These things won't necessarily all be added. I'm just saying that there are always ways of making an MVP more impossible. And if he becomes too easy after a while we can buff him.

If genesis really wants to go all out you can give the MVP some uber skill that can only be blocked Via a Custom Item ~ which would be kinda cool you just have to make the custom item hard to get :/ would be a bit of coding imo... but I mean O.o we aren't in any hurry :O... I just wish Genesis wuold give me a final on this so I give a final on my write up for it :/
Kusanagi Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Creators would still be needed they wont defeat the mvp in less than the 10 mins it takes for FCP to run out (you are not suposed to bring more players after you get into the mvp room).

Lol..... Or if you unequip it, you die, and get warped out...

As my term project in my Integrated Activity class (a sum of all we've learned, putting our strengths to use), I will be making a monster sprite. It will be the boss, Divine Dragon from the Legend of Dragoon. Whether he is used in any sort of quest remains unknown. But I'm very good at sticking to my ideas and having a good result in the end. So as long as my proposal is accepted you guys will get something final by June the latest (I hope)

Low rate is about team work and killing strong mvps together because you simply can't alone and demolition event I have heard its with the most basic items... like some low rate. High rate meant to be so characters can be really strong alone and kill anything alone with no team work, like now everyone kill mvps alone, even in woe one person can handle a whole guild and still break the emp, while in low rate you can't ever handle in a woe by yourself - team work works much better in low rates. Now instead of this mvp, I have a better idea of some mvps, seen it around already: It's like new mobs and mvps of lighthalzen with new classes like Stalker, GS , Clown, Champion , Paladin , Ninja , Creator , Prof , SL , SG. here if anyone wants to see how it looks like from where I found it, pretty cool just should be added , more mvps , more mvp cards and the lhz mvps are the most fun mvps to kill in here , so adding some more kinds of them will be awesome and fun.

If you want people to notice the suggestion on bios 4 monsters, I suggest to make a topic for it. We've discussed this, I'm working with Kuyuti on it, it's already been declared to my teacher that my final project is a sprite from scratch. And it fits perfectly into this idea. The whole point of this MVP (which a lot of people have missed), the the quest that comes with it. It's not about adding MVP's. If we wanted to do that we'd recolor monsters and call them MVP's, and stick them on a map. This the the Divine Dragon. Have you ever seen this thing? It's like...huge...and...ugly...and perfect for an ultimate RO boss. But I think people would appreciate a bio4. A separate topic for that idea would be more appropriate.
