  1. The quest was enabled for 24 hours to see how modules progressed with the time, not enough time for the completion of the quest. The other time it was left open was out of our hands. We, as a GM team, do not possibly coincide at any time. However, I'll work on a method to keep every GM posted on any new change done to the server so things like this do not get out of hand.

Seeing this whole issue from an eagle view, I've reached the conclusion you guys do deserve an apology. But while I do accept my mistakes, I hope you don't forget I'm as humane as you are. I've been working too hard these last weeks and it's been completely tiring to try to do GM work after finishing schoolworks and my job. The other Game Masters have been as busy as well to finish these last updates and to continue with the ones we still have due.

While we work hard on these updates, we can't expect them to be perfect unless we test each and every single module after any modification done, which is something quite impossible. That's where I'd like to ask some cooperation from the players of fRO. If you think you're getting stuff too easy, stop and report it.

I'll leave the topic open so anyone involved can read this, and if they want, leave final comments of this. I'll delete the topic in three days.

I guess that resolves the issue. We had only done the quest under the illusion that anything goes and assumed that no one bothered trying to do it 50 times per seal. I think this issue is about resolved now and we should all just move on.

  2. I didn't introduce the morale issue because you "didn't think that other players were not smart enough to counter ice picks". I said that you guys should have noticed at any point of doing the quest that it was too easy for you to get such a high amount of Ice Picks, and by that -being responsible players- you would've reported this to the Game Masters instead of continuing repeating the quest. Ice Picks were set to .01% under Genesis' criteria of how would PvP result if just anyone could obtain it, same goes for the Thanatos card.

Seeing the highlighted part of your post, you'll understand my words. As the God Item Quest is designed for a low rated server, not high rated. What took you "one week" -assuming you played the whole week, 24 hours a day hunting the items- takes low rated servers months. Being that you're as "smart" as you claim to be, for any of your arguments to hold true, you were "dumb" enough not to realize it was too easy, hm? I used "smart" and "dumb" loosely on the last sentence, don't start drama over it.

My "babbling", as you call it, is an actual rant as to how players can hurt the server by not doing the right thing. No matter how much you talk me into it, I still believe at least one of you realized at one point from the quest to the selling of the Ice Picks you were getting rare items way too easy. No one alerted us about this and we simply cannot watch over the server 24/7 as if we were watching over little kids.

I won't back off my opinions, whether you like it or not, that's the way I'm seeing this issue.

You can't blame any of us for taking advantage of a "bug" because you left the quest enabled, yet didn't want people to do it. If you didn't want people doing the quest, why not just disable it until you are ready to test it. How is anyone other than the developers supposed to know that they arent allowed to do certain quests if there is no warning from anyone?

I understand why you want to limit the number of ice picks in the server, but do you understand how stupid your position is? WE are at fault for doing a quest that is normally part of the game, that YOU left enabled, and did not disclose to anyone other than possibly the GMs that you did not want done. 2 of the seals were done WHEN GMs were online, and they still did not say anything, yet we are lucky not to be banned?

You can question our intelligence all you want Zeit, but leaving the ice pick quest implemented, and not expecting anyone to do it doesn't say much for how smart you are (especially considering that it's not exactly a quest that is done in secret). Players caught on to it, yet no GMs did and they were online when seals were broken - that's not our fault, thats yours and your GMs. Pretending that you are doing us a favor for not banning us or deleting our items in this ridiculous situation has got to be the most laughable thing I've seen in a while.

  3. The problem was that the God Quest was being tested for we plan to customize it and reopen it. We did not intend to let players do the quest as opening the seals and getting to the s-class weapon quest is quite easy.

After the update is done, Ice pick will not be useless but players will get more methods of countering it.

The quest was anything but easy, it makes the Forsaken Elite quest look like a cakewalk ;)

  4. There is an Ice Pick problem? If you think too many people have ice picks at the moment you are kinda wrong (that is the new ice picks I mean). My guild did the God Quest and we obtained 96 Ice Picks out of the 100 available. Only my guild has the majority of the ice picks, we sold 3 already we have 93 left. If you see lots of ppl selling ice pick on the server its just one of my members. So not much ppl outside the guild has the new ice picks, only 7 got out of our hand. And if we decide not to sell, it'll still be rare.

So I dont see what pick "problem" is there that genesis is talkign about, since we got things in a legit way. One thing for sure, you should not try to take these picks away unless you reward us with something else because you have no idea how hard we worked on the God Quest. My real point is what do you mean by "Fixing" this problem?

If its just making new stuff to counter pick then I'm okay with it, just dont ruin other ppl's hard work please cuz it'll just be unfair.

Yeah, there is not a whole lot of ice picks out there to the extent that we have a "problem" with them.

The @whodrops rate is bugged on many servers, picks still drop at the 0.01% rate as shown on @mi.

I agree that if they are going to get nerfed, the people who completed the God Quest should trade the picks in for some other reward. It is the biggest quest in the entire game afterall, and it would be messed up if after completing something like that you get something that is worth nothing.
