I have some problems in my real life at the moment so I come online at different time. I will post my schedule when it becomes stable (more or less). Sadly, i can not say anything more precise at the moment.

oneinchfist, please reply to this topic after you make sure that your image is 24 x 24 bitmap (.bmp) image that uses 24 bits for color per pixel, as people said. I will close this topic, assuming that it has been solved, if you encounter any other sort of problem feel free to make a new topic in this section.

I agree that adding a slot is too much. But maybe adding +1 to all stats would not hurt? A slight advantage could make them more desirable but not balance breaking in my opinion.
