Hmm, never played ninja. It doesn't count as a physical attack?... lol.

I like the idea, but I think there are easier and less complicated ways of doing it, such as several pvp rooms that are blocked off once entered by 2+ people, these rooms could all be on the same map, just in separate cells, and with warping turned off. Another thing is if you really want to duel someone 1 vs 1 you can just whisper them and @go to any town other than pront/fcity and be fine.

Can't you just use converters? I've seen someone spamming 140k twice a second with FS, with 4 kiels I imagine you could get 3-4. It's pretty powerful if you have the right setup.

I'm trying to create a sprite for an animated lower headgear. If anyone has experience and would be willing to give me some tips/pointers feel free to pm me or add me on msn @ [email protected]

I've seen some pretty epic final strike spam. I think they're fine the way they are.

There would be no point because A. You would need an Orange Emp AND a Blue emp, so you would be losing money and B. Bound items are untradeable. The long list of items is understandable but that is EASILY limited. It doesn't have to be some universal npc that combines EVERYTHING. I wasn't really looking at auras when I had this in mind. It was more of an idea for giving wings decent stats, and maybe auras decent stats. This would be relatively simple because A. Theres no point in combining a pandaring or super expensive ruck for +10 to wings since a leafring will do the same job. This effectively makes it so you only need one item for each wing. Since the npc would only combine leafring rucks, only leafrings would probably have it's own issues though, and might in fact raise the price on leafrings so it might be required to add devilrs/angelrs. I personally have no clue how long making a new item takes, so I'll take your word on that. As for auras, same goes. Why would you combine an orange emp and a blue emp if they both have the same stats? You would effectively be paying 30 tokens for nothing. Same idea applies to emps, only allow the cheapest one/ones to be combined. Then you would need 1 to 3 items for every noob aura: Dragon Aura/Snowflake/Candy/Fallen Ghost etc. If this really became too much of an effort, a coder could volunteer and it could be a donation service. Pay 20$ to combine your items? I mean really, there are so many ways to make this work. People are complaining about hats specifically, when I've only really talked about RS, wings, and auras. I've said multiple times some items of course would be exempt for balance reasons. Making imps/Fhelms exempt wouldn't be a huge issue if you're worried about how many slots they have. In fact upper headgears in general could not be implemented. Projects like these rarely all happen at once, they take tons of debate, tons of flaming, and alot of cooperation. Then the real work starts.

So, just so we're clear. You say: "I don't think the staff has enough time for this." I counter with "It doesn't have to be done right now, it could be done any time in the future, that's no reason to knock the idea." and all you can say is "THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME."? You're acting like a child, the point I was making was I actually make an effort to support the server. I don't sit around knocking peoples ideas just because I don't like them either, I try to come to a common understanding. Some people are stubborn and refuse to alter their own ideas, but I have done no such thing. I have come up with all the solutions with nothing but people shoving the word no down my throat. Your opinion isn't wrong, opinions can't be wrong. The reasoning you explained for your opinion is nonsensical. You refuse to explain WHY my solutions won't work for you, which leads me to believe you're just arguing for the sake of arguing/forum drama. If I'm wrong PLEASE correct me because I would love more than anything to understand your train of thought.

The "tribe" is less than 5% of the active population man. Looking for more input before I let this one go.

With that attitude the only suggestions getting passed are the ones that are gang raided by forum lurkers. Not the actual people who spend 12 hours a day on RO and no afking in Fcity doesn't count. You can pretend like being rude and unproductive is the way the forums are supposed to work, but that just makes you one of those people that pushes new players away, and helps destroy the economy. I'm an active donator and a returning player and this kind of behavior is childish and ignorant. The point is to try to come up with solutions, not shoot potential solutions down because you feel like you have something to prove. A game isn't about needs, it's about fun, would this make things a bit more entertaining? For me yes, for you maybe not? However you can't speak for the other 150+ active players that don't spend more time on the forums than they do actually enjoying the game. If you feel like you have something to say to me directly feel free to pm me, other than that keep the thread on topic.

Aerynth said 3 times he wanted it. Read before you rage man.

There are simple ways to get past that issue. We could have a thread where people vote for what items get added each week/month. I mean for every problem theres 10 solutions. It just seems like for every one person trying to improve the server theres 10 nay-sayers (repeat offenders I might add) that like to trash every suggestion thread that comes up. I've avoiding pointing fingers because I'm trying to keep it civil but these "repeat offenders" completely ignore every solution provided and keep to their argument even when it's been nullified. Seraphine is the only one who had a reasonable argument and even that could be handled. This npc wasn't intended for base headgears but custom headgears. I can see how your argument holds water though, some people just genuinely like goofy hats. However in my personal opinon having SOME Sprite swapping functionality would be a hell of alot better than none. @Dudu and Aerynth Anyways, I've addressed the issue of pvp balance, the issue of how much of a work load it would be several times over. Does anyone have a problem that I haven't given a solution yet? Also if you really want to post in suggestion threads, before you decide to bash them because you disagree, maybe you should think "How could I improve this?" instead of "How can I completely derail this thread in the shortest amount of time possible?".

That's why you gradually add new items in as mini updates, it keeps the players happy since they can actually see the work being done and it spaces the work out over time so there's less strain on the staff team. I mean, assuming that even if it WAS accepted that they would jump on it right now when they're working on pushing out a major update would be foolish. Just because something is accepted doesn't mean it's going to be implemented immediately and it almost never has as far as I know. I just think it's silly to shoot down an idea because we can't do it RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT. Get me?

Alright, thanks for clarifying that point for me guys. I appreciate it. However to be fair I did state A. Some items would not be combineable to avoid abuse, and B. It would start with only a few items and build up over time. You guys really seem against it though and are ignoring my points so I'm just going to let this one go and work on something else.
