look no offense if you like it or anyone else that does but shield chain just doesnt cut it here. forget it. unless you plan just to annoy people with it then ya its a funky move. Matyre can be nerfed easy, you need to hybrid your builds to make it succesful for example throw in a weapon with whitesmith card, aim to break opponents armor then go back a to dmg and matyre away. Or another example is to throw on edge so opponent will switch to a gtb ! nerfing their reduction because the lost of usakoring etc etc i can give you actual builds if u want

pallies ! if you're rich enough to afford the berries. Screw damage, get yourself a reflect build with coma+strip+dispell+ws and you're good to go! learn and calculate your own combonation of reflect % and nerfing damaging, heres some starters use combat knife,strong shield, devs / rays, dev hat. Conjure a combination of 70% reduction and 80% ref for example ... that wasnt actualy figures but i hope you get it and when you see an open for matyre switch x2 tao and boom! hotkey your gears . lk= little knobs.

king and class sets have 2 slots in everything besides shield, and mid and lower has a maximum of 1

Okay heres the thing about classes in relation to the rate of which the server you are playing on, it changes almost everything.. e.g the classes main purpose, its builds, what works best on a low doesnt really work good on a high rate and so forth, hence ill give you an insight on what works best on "forsaken RO hr" for Paladin. tip: Im just going to throw this out there because its relevant to know but occasionaly if you want to start off on a high rate server its a really good idea to invest into a High Wizard class, and find out all the quest for the gears you need for your paladin and cards etc and just either do the quest OR theres numerous methods of making an income on this server and thats through Yggdrasil berries, box of storms / thunder, poison bottles, and Mvping for cards, hunting service, leech, all in which a High Wizard is most suitable besides mvp. Tank / Devotion build This build is an deffensive build which is designed to block and take damage for allies / party members and also very HP durable. *Equips : (Assuming that you are new ill suggest the cheapest and affordable gears and cards that you should be able to reach in a short time, but if you would like to know the FULL GEARED builds dont hesitate to ask) -Paladin Forsaken Set -Non-Donation Vit belts -Pally Spear or Sword / Edge (this sword can be bought through forsaken city shops situated at the top left corner @go 25) / any sword with 4 slots -Moon / Sun aura / fallen ghost (vote item) / flower aura (vote item) -Peco wings (vote item) -valk helm / snow cap / any + 15 headgear item (try your best to get wild rose it has 5% to cast divest shield) x1 Tao gunka card (This card gives a boost in HP which is really important for this build and the class itself) x1 Ghostring card (This will block a high percentage of neutral property attacks such as asura) x2 Raydric / x 2 skolls (raydrics also reduce 20% neutral damage each, hence reducing more damage from neutral property attacks) (skolls give a tiny boost in HP whilest reducing your deffence, you're probably thinking why the heck would you wanna reduce deffence but the truth of the matter is Thanatos card is abundant on this server so the less deffence you have the less this particular card will rape you. Its effect is More def = more dmg) x1 Usakoring card ( blocks a high rate of demi-human damage) x2 Green Ferus / x2 firelock cards (requires +10 boots) / x2 Dragoon wizard or dragon warlord <-- i forgot which one but the ones that goes into your boots. (these cards boost hp) Reflect Build This build is designed for returning back melee damage to enemies. Okay the idea of this build is to return back whatever you're opponent is dishing out onto you in attempt to get him to kill himself with his own high damage but the idea is you should be the one alive at the end of it. You can suicide with the opponent if that makes you feel good but yeah wont be much of a fight. -Paladin Forsaken Set -Non-Donation Vit belts -Pally Spear or Sword / Edge (this sword can be bought through forsaken city shops situated at the top left corner @go 25) / any sword with 4 slots -Moon / Sun aura / fallen ghost (vote item) / flower aura (vote item) -Peco wings (vote item) -valk helm / snow cap / sheep cap ( this item has +5% reflect ) / any + 15 headgear item (try your best to get wild rose it has 5% to cast divest shield) Okay here are some of my Paladin secrets that ill now share that has made me so succesful with my reflect build back in the days, so with you also carry -strong shield (you take in 20% more damage but wont get knock back, if you're reflecting and your opponent still manages to keep surviving his own attacks put on this, you will be taking in more damage but you will reflect back more) -valk mant (this has a reflect percentage aswell through upgrade so use this aswell if you are desperate) -Another spare armor with x2 orc lord cards and +10 the armor ( remember how i said thanatos literally rapes if you have alot of def, so i cant stress enough leave you're gear +0 if you intend on re-selling it but the reason why i keep a spare +10 armor is because i WANT thanatos users to do more on me.. so i can give more back ;) ) -combat knife (this REDUCES 10% of demi human damage, the idea is to set a particular balance or order or reflecting and reducing as much as you can handle yet deal an incredible amount of damage back so this helps, remember every opponent is different so setting the right reflection is important, for novices this calculation takes practise but when you reach my stage.. i can determine what combination of items i need after 1-2 hits and equip accordingly) -extra boots with x2 Ah Mut cards (each card enables you to recieve 20% more damage from demi-humans, using both is very very painful so make sure to spam ygg quick or use it if you are desperate. My trick is to equip these babies on unexpectingly that way the opponents finger which is spamming ygg wont be prepared for a damage bump = dead ) -deviling hat with demi-human reduction (same use for combat knife) Offensive / battle Paladin Put on "hp" items and cards to get as much hp as you can, this will contribute to sacrfice damage which is one of your offensive skills BUT it has a flaw, it takes hp from the caster to deal damage so be careful. Like asura this attack is a neutral base attack so it can be reduced incredibly. In a four slotted weapon use x2 goldenring card x1 skeleton worker x1 civil servant or just another goldenring not much to say about this build, paladins have been nerfed i dont find this build very useful personally so i wont dig to deep into it unless you ask. STATS: One of the reasons why i love Pallies is because they can just have 1 set of stats for all their builds. The most important and crucial stat is VIT so heres my personal suggestion.. Add everything into vit, add enough for 150 dex for instant cast, add enough for 195 aspd then the rest on str to carry pots and berries. Last Pally tips & secrets i like to share with you is this - Use maya purple (allows to see hiding / cloaking users) or x3 kiels (reduces skill delays) for headgears Edge has a chance to cause "coma" which is basically leaving an opponent on 1hp but at the rate you're hitting you should kill the next hit so its important to maintain 195 aspd. Edge is a very very important tool for this class, it forces people to lose Usakoring card and use Gtb (golden thief bug card blocks coma effect) this way you will let allies deal incredible damage due to the damage reduction shield has been replaced by gtb to block you from coma'ing, also you can "coma" people unexpectingly making you feel good and godlike :) Also im sorry that im saying this but its a must... a majority of "champions" carry usakoring card as default so coma their asses :) Use ifriti rings, they cast random spells etc its very useful cos it enables you to cast tarot cards, and asura etc etc (i use these to rely on taroting coma, breaking their equips, and just basic element of surprise attacks) Keep a four slotted 'Strip / Demobilizing weapon' , you can contribute this to your arsenal as you tank for your allies or do this first before destroying you're opponent. Use cards such as -Dragon wizard (strips shield, this enables you to strip opponents shield allowing you to take out your edge and just attempt for coma) -whitesmith (breaks weapon and armor) -stormy knight (chance to storm gust and freeze opponent) -valkrye randris (dispell !) -Mettalling (strips weapon) but yea you get the idea... be annoying! just make it miserable for them. If you find yourself in a situation where you are stripped, use the skill battle chant ! gets rid of debuffs and buffs :) and re equip accordingly. Also battle chant is useful in parties to buff allies. Use Gloria Domain / Pressure to take opponent sp, this can really screw up champions since they rely on sp for asura damage. also contribute this strategy to your reflect build towards champions I apologize for the rushness and to be honest i kinda lost the feel for this half way so i couldnt be more imformative so perhaps another day ill add more but only if you ask, good luck !!

do not mvp with perfect dodge build, you will still get hit by skills. yes pd is a very tactical and strategic way to pvp but only against melee characters. pd will not save you from asura's, sacrifice, magic, and depending on how much pd you want.. .. with 70-90% pd you may dodge alot of attacks but at what cost? holding a fortune dagger will not kill anyone.. and even with 40% pd.. you are still hittable.. but ya you get the drift. a common thing people do is put pd gear and cards and use "edges" and run around coma'ing people.. but it wont get you very far. fun but not very practical you will often meet people who will just rape your ass and you got nothing to fight back with.

Just look through the forums there is plenty plenty of threads with tips and guides !! too many players start this topic over and over again..
