zencis Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Before the so called DDOS attack on the server host, I wasn't having any lag problems even in WOE but after that, every woe I played, the lag seems to worsen and I thougt I was the only one that's why I just ignored it. So with that thougt in mind I used my other 3 ISP providers during woe. Below are the pings I get without and during woe: 1st Provider= 200+ping and during woe spikes up to 800+ -ISP Provider is Destiny Cable Internet up to 1mbps 2nd Provider= 300+ping and during woe gets up to 800-900+ -ISP Provider is Sky Cable Internet up to 3mbps 3rd Provider=100+ping and during woe gets up to 400+ but lag spikes up to 800+ -ISP Provider is Smart Broadband up to 10mbps 4th Provider= 100+ping and during woe gets up to 200+ but lag spikes up to 800+ -ISP Provider is PLDT MyDSL Even with the help of wtfast, ping stays almost the same. For weeks now, I've been asking my guildies and some friends if they were lagging during woe and everytime I asked, they have the same answer which is "YES". A lot of them can't even use pots inside the emp room. Just a 1 second lag spike can spell doom to anyone in a castle during woe so it's not fun at all. I just want to notify the admin that some if not a lot of players are having the same problem and hopefully a solution can be done.
gennova Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Same for me, especially I'm playing a class that can be killed in no time if got spike on seeding. The lag mostly in emp room and making me keep moving back and forth, and sometimes bugged my position making me can't do any skill 1
Captain Obvious Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 @Inbox try to use wtfast and see how it goes or ignore if you're using it already. My ping can go 201-220 with wtfast...although, sometimes there are lag spikes that gets me killed. CW is playable and I can troll pretty much most of the time. or change your ISP (Globe)..well, check with your neighbors/friends or aquaintance first on how is globe in your area regarding online games.
deadloco2 Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 yeah same here. after the DDOS attack I got problem anytime I log in into the server..
qperteplex Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I often experience this. The best solution for me is rebooting both PC and router and stop other running applications. It doesnt always work but I do get results every other time My ISP is bayantel 2mbps if players from PH are wondering
gennova Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Yesterday euro WoE was the worst. I usually got 250+ ping but yesterday got 370+ wow

Brother if you read my post, I did state that I use wtfast. About the globe ISP, it's actually the slowest provider here in our location, tried an tested. Let me share a little tip to fight against lag spike https://forums.malwa...ncy-for-gaming/ I don't think this trick are cheat on anyway so feel free to try it if you didn't try it yet XD It's not a cheat. It's called optimizing your tcp and there's an application that can do more than that and a lot easier too. It helps a little but during woe, the lag spikes are really overwhelming that you won't notice any difference, configured or not.
