Monthly Screen Shot Event/contest

Okay so aside from the bombing off topics. Wouldn't having a monthly screen shot contest be a trend on forums as well?

This will also encourage players either new or old ones to visit and be more active on forums.

Also this will cut somehow the boredom of most players in-game or in forums.

And having this would be more viable now due to the newly hired Event Gm's.

So Mechanics i suggest would be like this:

1. Every month the staffs are going to select the theme of the screen shot contest on the 3rd day of the month.(e.g. Crime scene/ Proposal/etc.) Since running a poll or voting would take too much time and not much players uses the forums.

2. Players are given 1 1/2 weeks to submit their entries.

3. Entries would be limited to 1 screenshot per member.(this will reduce the time consumed for staffs on deliberating entries and of course will let players be on their most creative outputs.)

4. Staffs will now have to deliberate on the winners for the remaining span of the month.

5. Announcements of the 1st , 2nd and 3rd of the winners should be done at the end of the month maybe in-game and here in forums as well so people will recognize it more.

So about prizes, i wouldnt mind if its not that grand or something since this is not mostly about prizes anyways.Its the fun, thrill and excitement that players will get. Motivation is what thrives players to exert more effort. So maybe like this?:

1st - 15 event tokens

2nd - 8 event tokens

3rd - 5 event tokens

Or if u guys have more input to this, feel free to add it on.

I can also help on the Themes to be used i got many good ideas on my mind. ^^, Its ok even if it means i cant join since ill be helping on the themes and might give me an upperhand if thats the case.

This is a GREAT idea for those forum veterans like me and you.
Problem is, the prize is higher than GM-hosted ones, so revert it down to 8 tokens for first place, -2 for 2nd and -4 for 3rd.

well i did quite listed a higher one intentionally. as getting creative ideas on one screenshot. takes effort and time as well. and its just once per month so i guess its fine. '

and as i have said.its not just for the old ones or old pips in forums. its a good way of getting new ones, makes use of our forum.

Great idea, maybe let them be able to participate with at least 150 posts/Forsaken Elder member tag.

Also, we would need to limit the voting by 1 account per IP to avoid vote feeding, although with your suggesion making it a rare case.

Then Why not pick 5-10 active people in random to vote? This would reduce risks in entirety. And the prize isnt the high to worth such efforts on ways to win it.
