Perishable Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Devotion is basically devoting another person with the HP you have on your pally. Taking damages and sacrificing berries. Just build anything. Go high HP. Use what you have and can do. Don't need to be all fancy.
Solace Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Perishable pretty much said it all. High HP and the ability to take high damage/spam yggs is all you really need . Reduct items such as Poring Tower Hat, Sacred/Fluffy Wings, Skull aura, or even just Ifrit rings can really make a big difference since you'll be taking less damage. Cards such as strip cards, decrease agi and dispell are also useful, so you can further aid the person you are devoting. When you're devo-ing someone, make sure to always re-devo them. The devotion effect wears off pretty easily. 1

Also would be great if you have at least the Pally Halberd, better still a Odin, but if both of those are not possible for your reach. The cheapest alternative is to get a Combat Knife for reduction. It can be bough in the item mall if I'm not mistaken. There are some neat tricks you can do with a pally to kill, while devo-ing. I suppose I'll leave you at that to figure it out, takes a lil testing to do. Have fun supporting your friend. :) Edited March 27, 2012 by Aerynth
Nightvol Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) Combat knife reduction stat is deactivated when you are using fshield/friggs (i havent tried it with friggs but i guess its the same with fshield) but works when you are using knight shield. So i suggest that you should have at least the pally sword/spear, edge or mailbreaker as your weapon. Edited March 30, 2012 by Nightvol
