Stalker Nerf/buff Pvp Suggestions

Stalker suggestions:(based on my own experience, knight sets etc no donations)

I've only been playing here a couple of weeks(stalker only) but enough to know the gist of things around here. I've seen a lot of people whining about stalkers reducs lately and i just don't quite get it. When stalkers go reducs they're dmg is weak(3k-5k DS to reducs,6k-10k to tao users) def is also weaker than a pally, when they're full on offense they're still weaker than snipers and gs.. you can say they have full strip but come on.. this is a high rate, once you piss someone off they can just dual client and fcp+out pot your dmg making reducs stalkers utterly useless.

I don't necessarily agree with removing the reducs on stalker bows but maybe reducing it a bit, honestly imo.. i would like to see 2 Legendary stalker bows, 1 for pure offense 1 for tanking like the current one. -this could also be a good idea for other classes

Another thing is the countless reducs stalkers i've seen even though i use one myself, the items to get offensive gear is slim for a noobie like me. The only things ive seen that could improve stalkers dmg would be ship captains hat and improved poring tower hat. For me and others, that'll take a while to get then to say a +10 feather beret or deviling hat that can be made in a day etc.. and even then snipers with those headgears are still better dmg dealers so why bother, which is why they'res so many reducs stalkers, it's just plain easier. I have plenty experience of reducs stalker that even when i full strip people i still can't kill them because of my weak dmg input unless they give up potting or relog or fcp and destroy me.

I suggest having new "quest" headgears that gives % dmg to demi human. this helps offensive stalkers and melee characters - i'm not sure how well this would do but i can't really test it because getting dmg modifying headgears is nearly impossible right now.

Also a fcp player is a dead stalker especially a reduc one, basically as i said before, "piss someone off and they'll dual client for fcp" is pretty much bullshit.

I suggest making stalker soul link be able to strip fcp but with the use of glistening coats too and can only be used singularly not full strip.. i've seen this on another server and it balances out quite well. If a player can dual client and negate you why can't you also dual client and negate them?

I use stalker as an alternate and here is what i think.

1. Reducts on the bow is just plain stupid. if we put it back, i suggest to put it in all valk weapons which will make people more annoyed. my auto attacks on my stalker ranges from 4k-6k or 7k maximum without ship captain. in my opinion that is good enough. your reducts (deviling hat or laughing poopoo hat, sacred wings, skull aura/myth aura, and shield) makes it that other classes damages you less. a sniper hits me 14k and below on FAS on his damage when im wearing gr and he is using immaterial arrows, damage is pretty much on par with me. so the damage is good in my opinion even with reducts setup. although it will be nice to have a little damage boost on the bow, i won't agree on putting reducts again, i already make spiral pierce damage 1.5k each hit on me without bow reducts.

2. quest headgears that give % damage on people sounds nice, but the ship captain hat is there already, and afking is not a hard task. but sure, if there is a quest that gives like 10% more damage why not. as long as it isn't better than ship captain.

3.The third is just wrong, everyone can go link, which will make the server populated with stalkers again. keep in mind that once you strip someone, you practically won. it's not game breaking if your reducts stalker cant strip at the start. with reducts, you can probably outlast someone in a 1 on 1 duel until his fcp runs out OR until you kill him. I can agree to this if dual clienting wasn't available, but it is and it would make stalkers overpowered.

basically, i find stalkers fine already.

I'm sorry but i find your comment fairly unhelpful or even needed with absolutely no criticism or suggestions to my very own comment. Why did you even comment? I don't know.

What i really wanted to get out of it was 2 bows for a stalker, one for % more dmg to demi and one for % reduce dmg to demi human, this can solve the small dmg of stalkers with the offensive bow and the reducs stalkers dealing decent dmg by removing the % demi-human dmg on reducs bow. Somewhat splitting the bow into two.

2. I was thinking of %demi human dmg quests that are on par with deviling hat or other reducs hats. Just like how alice doll would counter a beret and vice versa.

3. That's exactly why i suggested soul link stalkers can strip singularly to fcp players. FCP makes a fight with stalkers practically boring making them hide until fcp wears off but even then they can keep dualing. The link can basically make stalkers engage in fights than to have them run around all the time when you have fcp on. I was thinking that a soul link stalker could use for ex. strip helm on a fcp player but it would just remove the fcp to the helm and not the helm itself, meaning having to strip twice on a headgear alone. Of course there should be consequences like costing 2 glistening coats just to strip 1 equipment or something but that's just my opinion.

when u got pro gear u wont complain anymore.

Suggesting = complaining? what?.. but of course this is from a noobie perspective, in no shape or form can i speak on behalf of the geared/donators etc.

On behalf of the veterans, I sincerely apologize for their comment. However, most of us can understand why they did so, much had been said about this topic already. We've been here long enough to know what works best and what does not. I do commend you for coming up with this suggestion, however, I disagree.

again, once you get stripped, you lose. unless you are a dex class since you can put them back in within a few seconds. so still no on the soul link strip. with that, any fight against a stalker is a sure loss if you are using a champ, sinx, lk or any other one that isnt a dex class(except pally). if you fcp against a stalker, the stalker can still fight against you, if you get stripped, you cant possibly fight. i never hide around even if enemy got fcp, in fact i've won duels against people with fcp on my stalker.

Do you realize that if we buff up stalkers again, the newbies won't really get much out of it? the geared ones can totally gain a huge advantage with all the things you said especially the soul link strip.

I'm sorry, but this pissed me off a bit.....most of the ForsakenRO members discussed already to take off the reducts on stalker SB, so what's the point on putting it back? I already seen stalkers nowadays, and they seem to be fine even without the reducts. Also, you know its not difficult to get better gears for pvping, I mean, if you look at the quest items, they help alot, and you can even vote for forsaken gears.....pretty much everything is handed to us. It just takes some work to get them.

As for this, you know its going to be easy to double strip someone since stalkers have a large amount of dex...

Guys there is absolutely no need to be so rude to players who are new to the server and are making suggestions. They don't have as much experience and knowledge of our server, which has quite a lot of customizations and is probably very different for them.

Hun, thank you for your suggestion. Once you earn better gears by voting/questing and experiment with stalkers more I think you'll find they're well off here. The reductions were extremely problematic and unbalanced so that had to be fixed. We're currently looking into increasing the damage they do with their weapons which would be more ideal than making headgears I think. Thanks for your thoughtful responses and suggestion though. :)
